Document assistant for yachts and their crews

Your yacht’s knowledge. Your data. Your sovereignty. Verify every answer.

Chat2boat indexes manufacturer manuals, procedures, certificates, drawings and scans from on board, then answers by citing the exact passage and the source file. Your documents and their index stay in your instance.

Why Chat2boat, why now?

The yacht’s private AI

Superyachts are increasingly digital environments. Owners, guests and crew interact with AV, IT, automation, media, information and service systems every day. Yet the knowledge behind these systems is fragmented across manuals, procedures, service records, inventories and applications.

Chat2boat turns that information into a natural conversation — with privacy, and a user experience designed around the vessel.

  • 01

    Built for the yacht

Grounded in your vessel’s own documents: manuals, procedures and checklists, service records, inventories, guest information. Not the open internet.

  • 02

    Every answer is sourced

Each answer shows the exact passage and the source file, and opens the original in one click. You check before you act.

  • 03

    Sovereign AI

Files, metadata and the vector index stay in your Chat2boat instance. Pick a model served by Infomaniak, a Swiss host, request by request. API keys never reach the browser.

  • 04Planned

    Dedicated onboard server

Chat2boat is designed to run on a dedicated server installed on board, at the heart of the yacht’s digital ecosystem.

One assistant, several experiences: owner, guests, captain and officers, crew.

01 The problem

Knowledge on board is not straight forward or a headache

  • The answer is already on board.

In a manufacturer manual, a procedures binder or an email from the yard. Nobody knows which one.

  • Scans escape search.

A scanned certificate, a photo of a rating plate or of a yard invoice stays invisible to a search engine.

  • A general-purpose AI makes things up.

With no access to your yacht’s documents, it produces an answer that is plausible, well written and wrong.

02 How it works

Three steps

  1. Upload

Manuals and technical documentation, procedures and checklists, maintenance records, inventories, menus and wine lists, guest welcome book, AV/IT documentation. Scans go through OCR. Organise by project.

  2. Ask

Ask in plain language, or run a quick action: Chat to search and Find, Summarise, Translate, Compare, Explain.

  3. Verify

Every answer shows its sources: the quoted passage, the file name, and a link to open the original.

03 Day to day on board

One question, one sourced answer, for every role

From the captain to the guests, everyone asks in their own words. The answer comes from the yacht’s documents, with the source to check it.

What is the departure checklist for tomorrow morning?Captain
Infomaniak · Qwen 3

The departure checklist has four blocks: crew and weather briefing, engine and steering tests, life-saving equipment check, then the yacht’s documents. Steering tests are done no later than one hour before departure.1

04 Verifiable answers

An answer without a source is not an answer

The source panel accompanies every answer. It shows the passage it relies on, the document it came from, and opens the original in one click. A manufacturer manual in a language you don’t read is translated in place, passage by passage. Every answer can be copied, exported as Markdown or plain text, regenerated, and rated.

06 Widget on your site

The yacht’s guest book, on self-service

Publish a chatbot on your site or your guests’ welcome page, powered by the document project you choose: welcome book, yacht presentation, charter terms. It answers only from those documents. You set which domains may embed it, the title, the welcome message, the quick actions offered to visitors, the colours, the logo, and the caps on messages, tokens and budget. A public key is all it takes to install; no secret key ever reaches the page.
